All that is valuable in human society depends upon the opportunity for development accorded the individual.

Great things are happening in ALPHA at Pleasant Grove Elementary School. I am excited to be joining the Pleasant Grove team as the ALPHA teacher for the 2013-2014 school year.

With 19 years teaching experience, a BA in Bilingual/Bicultural education, a MAED in Differentiated Instruction, and an EDS in Curriculum and Instruction, I have been fortunate to work with many different students and programs. In the end, though, it all comes down to making a difference for children. I know this opportunity will prove to be just that.

Gifted Education is such a vital part of education. It establishes opportunities to explore the language of science and technology, develop the toolkits needed for reasoning and problem solving, allows for enrichment and experiences through humanities and the arts, and engages students in meaningful collaboration with adults and peers.

I look forward to helping your children develop and advance their skills using research based strategies, individualized technology, small group instruction, and hands on applications which will help to make learning more meaningful while improving your child’s independence and success.
